So this weekend we held Seppii's 'Farwell Party' at Haigh Hall in Wigan. A beautiful venue for my beautiful girl. Nearly 200 people were invited including family, friends and work colleges. I couldn't help but see how disappointed Seppii was to receive messages from friends who were too busy and couldn't make it for one reason or another. My heart really went out to her, I mean what could be more important that saying goodbye to this wonderful person? All I have to say to those who didn't come is  "Shame on you" and "its your loss!".

The party was amazing with everything from releasing beautiful white doves to an Arianda Grande singer. Haigh Hall is a stunning venue with even more stunning views as you can see for yourself from some of the photos below. The party theme was fancy dress and no one disappointed us with everyone turning out dressed up. There was a chocolate fountain, candy floss maker, popcorn machine and endless sweets and cakes. We had three beautiful cakes, two of which were donated and made specially for Seppii, in pink of course! Fresh ice cream made from fresh fruit was being made outside for the guests as they arrived and the buffet was just amazing!

Seppii has been confined to her room for the last few days as she spiked a temperature and her infection markers are up. She has been having anti-biotics and paracetamol intravenously as well as having her oxycodone increased.

This morning it was very hard to wake Seppii and try as I might she stayed fast asleep in her bed. A half hour or so later a nurse came to tell me that there had been an incident with her syringe driver and she had accidentally been given 24 hours of Oxycodone (twice the strength of morphine) in 16 hours. The doctor was called and came to check Seppi every hour but its taken her almost all day to come round.

The machine has been sent off to find out if its faulty and an incident report has been filed but we won't know if it was human error or not until we get the report back.

Seppii was given 3 bags of platelets to get her count up so that she could have her intrathecal this afternoon (Tuesday). Its a terribly painful procedure were fluid is drained from the spine and then chemotherapy is injected in. Seppii was given Entonox to help her cope with the pain.

An hour after having the intrathecal Seppi was putting on her makeup and getting ready to go bowling with all her family :) she really is an amazing girl.
